Our team is looking for a Marketing Associate to advance our mission by helping HR and corporate treasury leaders provide our financial advisory services as a retirement planning benefit for their employees.
As a Marketing Associate you’ll play a pivotal role by helping to retain our employer clients who elect to make EFE’s financial planning services available to their employees. This role is focused on retention and servicing marketing efforts to reinforce and retain B2B long-term relationships with our employer clients.
We are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team’s existing talents. For this Marketing Associate role, we need someone with B2B storytelling, presentation creation, and project management skills. If you are a motivated and an adaptive learner who takes initiative, this may be an ideal match for you! This role will allow for cross-functional partnership, exposure, and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Own strategy, preparation, and content creation (primarily client-facing presentations) for client retention and prospective client meetings.
- Create bespoke storylines that engage, persuade, and cultivate lasting relationships with some of the nation’s largest employers.
- Translate data, technical details around investment management and product and insights into creative, original stories of the value and impact of our financial planning and advice services to our employer clients.
- Use internal and external sources to research and uncover client-specific priorities, create bespoke and engaging content, and target opportunities for clients to adopt additional services.
- Partner with our internal client-servicing and Sales stakeholders, lead internal meetings, and identify key themes of most relevance to the client, then bring those themes to life through presentations.
- Support marketing campaigns and programs to deepen and expand existing client relationships and client loyalty.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of relatable professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree, B2B storytelling, and financial services experience required; understanding of the needs and challenges of the large employer audience is a plus.
- Client-centricity: Approaches challenges with empathy and curiosity; shows aptitude for stepping into the shoes of clients and service teams to build trust, identify opportunities, and demonstrate the value our services are providing the employer client and their employees.
- Experience partnering with client-servicing and Sales internal partners.
- An "owner" mentality, eager to take responsibility for projects, boldly identify and present ideas, and learn quickly in a dynamic B2B environment. · Strategic and confident marketer with ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Excellent communicator with strong listening, verbal, writing, and proofreading skills.
- Effective at building relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint required, with an eye for creative design and visualizing data and complex topics.
- Marketing samples may be requested.
The Team You’ll Join:
- This role offers in-office, hybrid (in our Boston, MA or Santa Clara, CA offices) and remote work arrangements.
- This role reports to the Director, Client Marketing, within the Institutional marketing team that manages all marketing, events, content and thought capital creation, and competitor insights for the employer client business unit.
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $64,300 - $85,800. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
