As an Ingredient Specialist, you will be responsible for several ingredient categories (Bakery, Dairy, Dry Goods & Grains, and Spices & Nuts). You will work closely with Culinary, Procurement, and FSQA (Food Safety & Quality Assurance) teams to deliver high-quality, innovative, and healthy ingredients. You will have end-to-end ownership of onboarding new ingredients, so a strong interest in food trends, quality, and sensory experience is essential. At the same time, you’ll analyze customer feedback to continuously improve our ingredient portfolio and customer satisfaction. We’re looking for an ingredient enthusiast who’s invested in our product and customers.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

  • Build deep expertise within your ingredient categories, including taste, appearance, specifications, and suppliers.
  • Maintain a high-quality ingredient database by tracking performance and offboarding underperforming ingredients.
  • Lead the onboarding of new ingredients based on trends and internal requests, and improve existing ingredients using customer feedback.
  • Represent Benelux in international tenders by voicing local requirements and safeguarding quality standards.
  • Provide sensory support during tastings.
  • Analyze customer feedback and translate insights into concrete improvements.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of local and global stakeholders, including recipe developers, category managers, food safety specialists, and supply planners.

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

  • 2+ years of experience in food technology, NPD, or a related field (HBO/University education)
  • A data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate insights into clear, actionable decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and confidence working with multiple stakeholders across team
  • A structured, detail-oriented way of working, enabling you to manage multiple topics in parallel
  • Strategic thinking, balancing customer value with business objectives
  • A creative, solution-focused mindset, always looking for ways to improve products and processes
  • English proficiency; Dutch is a strong plus
  • Experience with sensory testing or product development is considered a plus
