Infusion Coordinator (Prior Authorization & Patient Scheduling)

Manage the end-to-end infusion process to ensure patients access therapy quickly and smoothly in a supportive, well-run infusion program with a predictable weekday schedule.

This role manages the end-to-end infusion process so patients can access therapy quickly and smoothly.

What you’ll do

Order intake & documentation

  • Review infusion orders and create patient charts

  • Obtain required clinical documentation from providers

Insurance & authorizations

  • Verify benefits and secure prior authorizations

  • Track status and resolve barriers proactively

Patient communication

  • Provide updates and set expectations

  • Educate patients on pre/post infusion preparation

Financial assistance

  • Enroll eligible patients in copay and foundation programs

Scheduling & coordination

  • Schedule infusion appointments

  • Coordinate drug ordering before treatment

What we’re looking for

  • 1+ year experience in patient scheduling and insurance verification

  • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, and medical terminology

  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills

  • Infusion, oncology, neurology, or specialty medication experience preferred
