Manageable volume: 5–6 patients/day
Predictable weekday schedule (no nights/weekends)
This role manages the end-to-end infusion process so patients can access therapy quickly and smoothly.
Order intake & documentation
Review infusion orders and create patient charts
Obtain required clinical documentation from providers
Insurance & authorizations
Verify benefits and secure prior authorizations
Track status and resolve barriers proactively
Patient communication
Provide updates and set expectations
Educate patients on pre/post infusion preparation
Financial assistance
Enroll eligible patients in copay and foundation programs
Scheduling & coordination
Schedule infusion appointments
Coordinate drug ordering before treatment
1+ year experience in patient scheduling and insurance verification
Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, and medical terminology
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Infusion, oncology, neurology, or specialty medication experience preferred
