Octal Philippines Inc. is a leading IT solutions company that provides innovative technology services to various clients. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Platform Engineering Services team as an Infrastructure Specialist.

Role and Responsibilities:
As an Infrastructure Specialist in the Platform Engineering Services team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions for our clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise and ensure efficient and effective infrastructure operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions
• Deploying, configuring, and managing infrastructure components such as servers, storage, virtualization, and networking
• Performing system administration and troubleshooting tasks to maintain optimal system performance and security
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement infrastructure best practices and standards
• Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements
• Monitoring and optimizing infrastructure performance and capacity

Requirements

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Lead technical team and be the first point of contact for operation needs (2-3yrs experience as TeamLead)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in infrastructure design, implementation, and support
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with server administration, storage management, virtualization, and networking
• Windows, VMware, RHEL, MS SQL, Citrix (3/5)
• Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory compliance
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Good to have:

• Understand ITIL Practice
• Knowledge on networking in IT Infrastructure
• Understand IT Security (Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing)
• CISA or CompTIA Security training/certification
