Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Level II IT Support Specialist with specialized expertise in Audio-Visual (A/V) technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and managing A/V equipment and systems. The ideal candidate is located in the San Francisco area and will possess a strong background in IT support, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of A/V technologies to ensure a seamless and efficient technology environment. Occasional travel could be required.

Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

Provide second-level IT support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.

Collaborate with other support team members and escalate complex issues to higher-level teams when necessary.

Provides support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access. 

Develops, documents, and implements standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to IT support.

A/V Systems Management:

Provide on-site technical support to the organization.

Provide A/V Support:

Coordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots employee meeting and conference call issues.

Oversee and maintain A/V equipment, including video conferencing systems, projectors, audio systems, and digital displays.

Configure, install, and troubleshoot A/V hardware and software components.

Conduct regular audits and preventive maintenance of A/V systems to ensure optimal performance.

User Training and Documentation:

Develop and deliver training programs for end-users on the proper use of A/V equipment and collaboration tools.

Create clear and concise documentation for troubleshooting common A/V issues, empowering end-users to resolve minor problems independently.

Collaboration with IT Teams:

Work closely with IT teams to implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures.

Collaborate with network administrators to ensure seamless integration of A/V systems with the overall IT infrastructure.

Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to the development of IT strategies.

Stay Updated on Industry Trends:

Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in A/V technologies and IT support.

Make recommendations for the adoption of new technologies to enhance the organization's A/V capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of video conferencing platforms, audio systems, and collaboration tools.

Proven experience as a Level II IT Support Specialist/Technician/Engineer

Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a Windows and macOS environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.


 

Preferred experience:

Certifications in A/V technology (e.g., A/VIXA CTS)

IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft)

California Pay Range
$76,500$95,600 USD
