The Veracode Security Operations team is looking for a Computer Science or Information Security major interested in gaining hands-on experience as part of a modern blue team within a cloud-native security organization. This role will provide exposure to security monitoring, incident response, and the engineering behind a first-in-class security platform.
Key Aspects of the Role
- Experience securing a cloud-based security ecosystem
- Exposure to a modern SIEM and SecOps tooling
- Hands-on incident response training
- Project work including platform onboarding and security tool configuration
- Opportunity to build new technical skills and strengthen existing ones
Preferred Qualifications
Interest and/or experience in:
- Linux operating systems (Red Hat or Amazon Linux preferred)
- AWS services and cloud architecture
- Data analysis
- Core networking concepts
- Basic security principles such as access control, least privilege, and separation of duties
- Scripting languages such as Python or Bash
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate curiosity, humility, approachability, and patience in both their communication and actions.
Requirements
- Preferred majors: Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, Math, or related field
- Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university
- Able to work full-time (Monday–Friday)
- Must be able to commute to Burlington, MA 3x a week T/W/T
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
