Job Summary:
Our client seeks a dedicated and experienced HR Manager to oversee all aspects of Industrial relations and human resources practices and processes in our factory. The IR/HR Manager will play a key role in ensuring that our workforce is motivated, well-trained, and aligned with the company's goals. This role is critical in maintaining a productive, safe, and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities


Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Manage the recruitment process for the factory, including job postings, interviewing, and selection of candidates.
  • Work closely with department managers to understand staffing needs and ensure timely hiring.
  • Develop and implement onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new employees.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Address and resolve employee issues, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and employee engagement.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and develop training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions on topics such as safety, compliance, and skills development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

Performance Management:

  • Implement and manage the performance review process, including setting objectives, providing feedback, and conducting appraisals.
  • Work with managers to develop performance improvement plans and support employees in achieving their goals.
  • Recognize and reward high-performing employees.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment. Manage workplace safety committees and conduct regular safety audits.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Oversee the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct salary reviews and ensure competitive and fair compensation practices.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including attendance, leave, and payroll data. Prepare and submit HR reports to management as required.
  • Manage employee disciplinary processes and terminations in accordance with company policies.

Strategic HR Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop HR strategies that support the factory's business objectives.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.
  • Lead HR projects and initiatives to enhance workforce productivity and morale.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, health and safety regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field. Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Experience in change management and organizational development.
