Job Summary:
Our client seeks a dedicated and experienced HR Manager to oversee all aspects of Industrial relations and human resources practices and processes in our factory. The IR/HR Manager will play a key role in ensuring that our workforce is motivated, well-trained, and aligned with the company's goals. This role is critical in maintaining a productive, safe, and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing:
- Manage the recruitment process for the factory, including job postings, interviewing, and selection of candidates.
- Work closely with department managers to understand staffing needs and ensure timely hiring.
- Develop and implement onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new employees.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Address and resolve employee issues, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and employee engagement.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and develop training programs for employees at all levels.
- Coordinate and conduct training sessions on topics such as safety, compliance, and skills development.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
Performance Management:
- Implement and manage the performance review process, including setting objectives, providing feedback, and conducting appraisals.
- Work with managers to develop performance improvement plans and support employees in achieving their goals.
- Recognize and reward high-performing employees.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment. Manage workplace safety committees and conduct regular safety audits.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct salary reviews and ensure competitive and fair compensation practices.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including attendance, leave, and payroll data. Prepare and submit HR reports to management as required.
- Manage employee disciplinary processes and terminations in accordance with company policies.
Strategic HR Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop HR strategies that support the factory's business objectives.
- Analyze HR metrics and data to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.
- Lead HR projects and initiatives to enhance workforce productivity and morale.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, health and safety regulations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field. Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Experience in change management and organizational development.
