POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Maintenance team, this position is responsible for supporting our manufacturing plants and facilities by inspecting equipment, installing equipment, repairing and servicing all plant equipment, and associated mechanical and maintenance operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Oversees supporting equipment such as, but not limited to: CNC, press brakes, lasers, welders, cranes, and paint equipment.
  • Performs general mechanical maintenance.
  • Plans and executes proposed mechanical installations from blueprints, sketches/specifications in accordance with established statues and regulations.
  • Adheres to all established safety practices and procedures.
  • Establishes cleanliness of plant and protection of company property.
  • Instructs employees in a junior classification within the trades.

Requirements

  • Must hold current Manitoba/Interprovincial Trade Certificate (Red Seal) accepted by the Manitoba Labour Board.
  • Able to read and analyze blueprints, diagrams, schematics, operation and product related reference charts/tables, select mechanical measuring, checking and layout tools and devices.
  • Experience in setting up machines/tools in the performance of the job and operate to tight, defined tolerances.
  • Operation of all air and hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven success in troubleshooting and implementing solutions.
