We are seeking a skilled and experienced maintenance electrician to join our team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical systems and equipment, as well as diagnosing and resolving electrical faults to minimize production downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial automation, PLCs, motor controls, and safety systems.

 

The electrician works Monday -Friday, 6am -2:30pm with regular overtime. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in an industrial setting.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including faulty wiring, motors, sensors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Work with maintenance and production teams to improve system performance and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Recommend and implement improvements for energy efficiency, reliability, and cost reduction.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
  • High school diploma or GED required, technical diploma or degree in Electrical Technology or a related field preferred.
  • Valid electrician license/certification.
  • 3+ years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in manufacturing, food processing, or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming.
  • Proficiency with VFDs, motor starters, control panels, and industrial sensors.
  • Ability to work from heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
