ABOUT THE ROLE
Industrial Engineers at Bright Machines drive the performance of our automated server assembly operations. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing workflows to improve throughput, reliability, and scalability across our automation platforms. You’ll partner closely with operations, engineering, and quality teams to ensure production lines run with precision and consistency. Success requires strong technical judgment, a process-optimization mindset, and experience in automated manufacturing environments.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Analyze automated assembly workflows, line balance, and workstation performance.
Evaluate cycle times, capacity, throughput, yield, downtime, and quality metrics to optimize equipment and labor utilization.
Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methods.
Design and recommend equipment layouts, material flow, and workstation configurations for new or modified lines.
Support automation upgrades, new technologies, and optimization of automated assembly cells.
Lead and support Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collect, analyze, and visualize production data; prepare reports to support management decisions.
Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to implement and sustain improvements.
Provide technical guidance and training to production teams to reinforce standardized processes.
Participate in new product introductions (NPI) to optimize manufacturability from design through production.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
Minimum 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, or industrial engineering.
Experience with automated assembly, robotics, or electronics manufacturing is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including process mapping, time studies, and workflow optimization.
Proficiency with statistical analysis, Excel, and data visualization tools.
Understanding of Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement principles.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and process documentation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple departments.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, automated manufacturing environment.
