We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Healthcare Advisor to join our team. This role combines deep expertise in accounting principles with specialized knowledge of the healthcare industry to provide strategic financial guidance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in advising clients on complex accounting issues, financial planning, and performance improvement in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
Provide expert-level accounting guidance to healthcare organizations, including hospitals, clinics, and physician groups.
Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational and financial improvement.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB standards, and healthcare-specific regulatory requirements such as Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting, HIPAA, and other payer regulations.
Advise on financial strategies related to reimbursement models, value-based care, and cost containment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls.
Prepare and review financial reports, audits, and budgets tailored to healthcare operations.
Serve as a liaison between finance teams and healthcare providers, offering education and insights into financial impacts of clinical and operational decisions.
Support mergers, acquisitions, and integrations through due diligence and post-transaction analysis.
Qualifications
Deep understanding of healthcare finance, revenue cycle, reimbursement, and regulatory reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
CPA, CMA, or other relevant certifications.
Experience with healthcare consulting or advisory services.
Familiarity with cost accounting in healthcare settings.
Knowledge of federal and state healthcare programs and their financial implications.
