In-house Lawyer

At Text, we build global customer service products used by thousands of companies worldwide. We operate at speed, but never at the expense of clarity or sound judgment. We’re now looking for an In-house Lawyer to join our Legal team and strengthen our contracting, privacy, and compliance capabilities as we continue to scale across Europe and the US. This role is for someone who combines strong SaaS experience with business instinct. Someone pragmatic, who understands that great legal work enables growth, not blocks it. Legal at Text is not a back-office function. We are a focused, high-performing team embedded in the business, helping drive smart and responsible growth. You’ll work closely with the Head of Legal and collaborate daily with Product, Sales, and Operations. We’re a small, senior team where ownership, collaboration, clarity, and impact matter more than titles. We cover privacy, emerging AI-related regulation, commercial contracts, intellectual property, compliance, due diligence, and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions, with strong exposure to the US market. We work in weekly sprints, but we prioritize quality over rush. We share context openly. We ask questions early. We support each other in complex matters. We thrive in product-driven, tech environments and are comfortable operating close to Product and Sales, where legal input directly shapes real business decisions.

What you'll do

Draft, review and negotiate SaaS commercial agreements, including MSAs and enterprise contracts

Support EU and US privacy compliance in day-to-day operations 

Translate legal complexity into clear options, trade-offs, and provide business-oriented recommendations that support informed business decisions 

Contribute your input to ongoing Legal priorities while operating within a clear strategic Legal team direction

Own your matters end-to-end with strong preparation, documentation, and disciplined follow-through
