About us
Committed to building the next generation of 100% software-based mobile networks, ng-voice is creating innovative mobile infrastructure solutions and making them accessible for operators and enterprises that want to deploy future-proof networks.
As an IMS Software Architect (m/f/d) at ng-voice, you will have the opportunity to design and build IMS components from scratch, working in an environment that encourages technical ownership, freedom of choice, and creative problem-solving. You will be empowered to challenge legacy approaches and replace them with modern, cloud-native architectures.
This is a hands-on software architecture role with a strong engineering focus. You will not only define architectural concepts but also design and implement software, working closely with development teams to turn architecture into production-ready systems. The role is focused on internal product architecture and engineering, not customer-facing solution design or pre-sales activities.
You will combine telecom protocol expertise with modern cloud-native and microservices-based software architecture to build scalable, resilient IMS components aligned with 3GPP standards.
Tasks
What you will do as IMS Software Architect (m/f/d):
- Own and drive the end-to-end architecture of cloud-native IMS components and network functions (CNF).
- Actively design and contribute to the implementation of IMS components using C, Go, and Python.
- Define architecture, performance, scalability, and resiliency targets for IMS services.
- Design and evolve microservices-based IMS core components (e.g. P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S-CSCF, BGCF, HSS/UDM, TAS).
- Ensure architectural alignment with 3GPP and ETSI standards, including VoLTE, VoWiFi, and VoNR.
- Partner closely with development teams to ensure architectural consistency, code quality, and best practices.
- Translate business and product requirements into clear architectural blueprints.
- Produce high-level and low-level design documents, architecture diagrams, and interface specifications.

- An IMS expert with hands-on experience in software architecture and modern application design.
Required skills & experience
- Proven hands-on experience designing and implementing production-grade software systems.
- Strong understanding of IMS architecture and call flows.
- Solid knowledge of SIP, Diameter, RTP, and related telecom protocols.
- Know-how in cloud-native architectures, and containerization.
- Strong understanding of VoLTE, VoWiFi, and 5G voice (VoNR) solutions.
