We’re hiring a talented IMS Software Architect (m/f/d) to lead the design and evolution of our IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) solution. As an IMS Software Architect (m/f/d), you will define and drive the architecture of next-generation IMS components, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with 3GPP standards. You will collaborate closely with product, R&D teams, and cross-functional groups to deliver future-proof telecom solutions.
Tasks
What you will do
- Provide architectural guidance on cloud-native network functions (CNF).
- Partner with development teams to ensure architectural compliance and best practices.
- Implement complex requirements in an easy and effective manner using C/Go/Python languages.
- Define performance, scalability, and resiliency targets for IMS components.
- Define end-to-end architecture for new IMS core components (e.g., P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S-CSCF, BGCF, HSS/UDM, TAS).
- Ensure alignment with 3GPP and ETSI standards for IMS and VoLTE/VoNR solutions.
- Design scalable, cloud-native, microservices-based IMS components.
- Work with product management to translate business requirements into architectural blueprints.
- Prepare high-level and low-level design documents, architecture diagrams, and interface specifications.
Requirements
Our ideal new colleague
- Extensive experience designing IMS network elements and understanding of IMS call flows
- Strong knowledge of SIP, Diameter, RTP, and other telecom protocols.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, containerization, and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of VoLTE, VoWiFi, and 5G voice solutions (VoNR).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience with Kamailio, FreeDiameter, or similar open-source telecom frameworks.
