Implementation Manager - Finance

TLDR

Lead complex projects integrating Wise’s products and markets into its finance system, ensuring financial compliance while enhancing internal financial systems.

We’re looking for a Finance Implementation Manager to join our fast growing Finance Product team in London. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise’s mission by ensuring we build smart and scalable internal financial systems and empower millions more people with instant, cross-border payments.

Wise moves over £145 billion across 160+ countries. In a constantly evolving global finance ecosystem and regulatory landscape, our financials must be bulletproof. We are looking for a Finance Implementation Manager who nurtures the balance between product innovation and financial precision. You aren't just managing projects; you are architecting the systems that allow Wise to scale safely.

Your Mission

Wise is rapidly expanding globally, creating new products for consumers and businesses, and entering new jurisdictions. This is a unique opportunity to lead complex projects onboarding new Wise products and markets into Wise’s finance system, thereby supporting Wise in being financially compliant and ensuring our bigger team can make timely, accurate and sustainable business decisions based on a global set of financials.

How you’ll contribute to our mission

  • Planning and scoping: You will proactively engage with and be the key point of contact for Product teams and Finance stakeholders on integrating new products, features and regional expansions to ensure Wise has an accurate view of its financials

  • You will dissect complex product flows, identifying potential financial gaps and building the rails to fix them

  • You will proactively engage with relevant product teams to understand their needs, and navigate prioritisation problems to ensure impact to Finance is minimised

  • Execution: You will develop an Implementation roadmap and lead quarterly planning of Finance Implementation work, as part of the wider team quarterly planning

  • You will be owning large and complex integrations onboarding into Finance systems end-to-end. You will support the team with clear documentation including requirements, detailed project plans, resource allocation, testing, delivery etc.

  • Support: You will get hands-on when things go wrong - supporting product and engineering teams during incidents to understand the impact, drive resolution and improve controls to prevent similar incidents recurring

This role will give you the opportunity to -

  • Get amazing exposure – You will be omniscient. You will know almost everything about every product flow and geography that Wise is launching, while working with a group of amazing and dedicated implementation managers, product managers, engineers, analysts, and operations. You will learn everything you ever wanted to know about payments, banks, regulations and assets not just for one geography - but for the entire world.

  • Choose your path to impact – We believe people are most empowered when they can act autonomously. So rather than telling you what to do, you’ll work with your team to create a vision of your own. Of course, you can always gather feedback from smart, curious people across Wise but you’ll have the freedom to make your own calls

  • Work in a world-class international Finance & Treasury Team, learn a lot about fintech, finance and treasury, while also building a high-volume, real time finance system.

  • Work with a modern microservices system with key parts written in-house, which allows to move fast and build controls and experiences that are above industry standards and push the boundaries of what is possible

  • Be part of our mission to make money without borders the new normal

A bit about who we are looking for

  • High bias for action: You’re hands on when it comes to product implementation and delivering features and building roadmaps. You’d do everything needed to make the team and the product successful. You get it done

  • Relevant experience: You have the experience of managing end-to-end product integration lifecycles from scoping to delivery and post production support for ambitious, impactful customer / non-customer facing products before in data-driven environments

  • First-Principles thinker: You have the ability to break down complex problems through reasoning

  • Drive clarity: You have a knack for entering a room full of diverse stakeholders (engineers, accountants, data scientists) and distilling chaos into a clear, actionable roadmap

  • Comfortable with complexity: You enjoy juggling multiple, high-stakes workstreams. You don't get overwhelmed by volume or ambiguity, you get energized by the challenge of organizing it

  • Insatiably curious: You have a deep-seated eagerness to learn. Whether it’s the nuances of Brazilian banking regulations or the intricacies of microservices, you dive deep until you're the expert

  • Data-driven: You don't guess; you look at the data. You are comfortable digging into datasets to discriminate the signal from the noise and back your decisions

 Beneficial, but not mandatory experience

  • A background in Finance or Accounting

  • Experience working with analytics tools (SQL, Looker, or Superset)

  • A genuine passion for how technical stacks and financial products intersect

Our offer

  • Base salary: £70,000 - £90,000 gross/year (based on experience & interview outcomes)

  • Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)

  • Numerous other benefits
