IDS Paralegal

Seeking a dedicated IDS Paralegal. In this role, you will support the patent prosecution process by managing Information Disclosure Statements (IDS), ensuring compliance with regulations and timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file IDS forms with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and international patent offices as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patent files for relevant prior art and citations.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing correspondence related to IDS submissions.
  • Coordinate with patent attorneys to ensure all disclosures are complete and correctly submitted.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining patent dockets and calendars.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in patent prosecution or IDS.
  • Strong understanding of USPTO practices and procedures pertaining to IDS.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and patent management software.
