Identity Access Management (IDAM/IAM) Consultant - Principal Consultant

Role Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced Principal Identity Access Management (IDAM/IAM) Consultant to lead and shape our IDAM services within the cyber security consultancy. This is a key leadership role where you will manage client engagements, lead proposals, and provide strategic direction for large-scale IDAM projects across multiple sectors. As an expert in common IDAM technologies and methodologies, you will design and implement robust solutions that align with business and regulatory requirements while managing and mentoring a team of consultants. 

Key Responsibilities: 

·       Lead IDAM Proposals & Strategy: Develop and lead proposals for IDAM/IAM solutions, working with stakeholders to understand client needs and define project scope. 

·       Client Engagement Leadership: Oversee and manage client engagements, ensuring successful delivery of IDAM services, including solution design, implementation, and integration. 

·       Technical Authority: Serve as the technical expert in IDAM, providing guidance on solutions and architectures involving common IDAM technologies (e.g., Okta, Ping Identity, SailPoint, Microsoft Azure AD). 

·       Solution Design: Design secure, scalable identity access management solutions that address client-specific business challenges while adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements. 

·       Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor a team of consultants, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and professional development. 

·       Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior business and technology stakeholders to align identity management strategies with broader security and business objectives. 

·       Security Frameworks & Compliance: Ensure IDAM solutions comply with security frameworks and regulatory standards, such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST, and industry best practices. 

·       Risk Management: Identify and manage security risks related to identity access management systems, advising on mitigation strategies and secure architecture principles. 

·       Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in IDAM, driving continuous improvement and innovation in our consultancy’s offerings. 

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience: 

·       Extensive experience in delivering complex IDAM/IAM projects, including strategy, design, and implementation. 

·       Deep knowledge of common IDAM technologies (e.g., Okta, Ping Identity, SailPoint, ForgeRock, Microsoft Azure AD). 

·       Strong understanding of identity governance, access controls, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA). 

·       Proven experience leading IDAM/IAM engagements, including managing client relationships and directing project teams. 

·       Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR). 

·       Ability to balance security with business requirements, managing risk while ensuring effective access management controls. 

·       Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team of consultants. 

Qualifications: 

·       Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). 

·       Additional certifications in IDAM technologies (e.g., Okta Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator). 

·       Experience managing IDAM/IAM projects across various industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, and Government. 

·       Additional certifications in Cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS)
