Compensation Overview

This role offers a competitive base salary aligned to experience and estimating responsibility.

In addition to base salary, MML offers employer RRSP contributions, a comprehensive benefits program, and eligibility for a discretionary performance bonus based on company and individual performance.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, the HVAC Sheet Metal Estimator works closely with the Chief Estimator on competitive bids, take-offs, and scope reviews for high-value mechanical projects.

  • Preparing HVAC and sheet metal estimates using Trimble AutoBid and take-off software
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and addendums
  • Issuing RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Preparing bid packages and scope letters
  • Supporting handovers to project teams after award
  • Reviewing actuals versus estimates to continuously improve accuracy

Who This Is For

  • You have solid HVAC and sheet metal estimating experience in an ICI or mid-to-high-rise residential construction environment and understand how real projects are priced and built.
  • You enjoy the technical side of estimating and working closely with operations and sales teams

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of HVAC sheet metal estimating experience in ICI or mid to high rise residential construction
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and addendums
  • Experience preparing estimates, RFQs, and bid packages
  • Experience using take-off and estimating software (e.g., Trimble AutoBid)
  • Understanding of how real construction projects are priced and delivered
