We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of HVAC Project Engineer position with our Energy Force team. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scoping the installation of HVAC equipment across multiple sites. This role demands a strong background in commercial HVAC systems, exceptional planning abilities, and a commitment to delivering quality service.

This role is for a key player among the impactful team which is tasked with ensuring that these technologies are installed with the utmost quality while ensuring optimal customer satisfaction. They will do this by planning installation site work, the details of replacements, and developing project cost estimates as a part of our Energy Force team. The successful candidate will have a background in project engineering functions within the HVAC field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Estimation and Planning:
    • Assist with conducting detailed site assessments to estimate the requirements for HVAC equipment installation.
    • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop installation plans and timelines.
    • Evaluate site conditions
  • Project Scoping
    • Develops detailed project installation plan which includes the replacement HVAC unit and ancillary items such as gas piping, electrical, and ductwork modifications that may be needed
    • Develops ancillary quotes from internal and external parties to produce entire project cost estimate
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure all installations meet industry standards and company quality guidelines.
    • Conduct quarterly (estimated) site inspections to monitor site conditions and plan for any issues that may arise during the installation process.
  • Travel Requirements
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% (estimated) to various job sites across the region to better understand site conditions and project scopes
  • Works within the company Work Order Management system to ensure work orders are sent to all Energy Force technicians
  • Reviews installation surveys to ensure all required scope completion from technicians
  • Provide excellent and timely customer service through phone, email, and chat
  • Ensure utmost customer satisfaction (internal and external to Budderfly) throughout the Budderfly and Energy Force work order systems
  • Works to improve customer satisfaction throughout the Energy Force installation process

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation and management.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation techniques, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent communication, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Experience with project management software.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols in the HVAC industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Coordinating multiple daily tasks concurrently.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer phone service.
  • Able to work as a team player and independently.
  • Creative problem solver with ability to multi-task.
  • Passion for energy savings.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with customers.
  • Enjoys continuous learning, as supported by your organization, both technically and professionally.

Compensation
$80,000$100,000 USD

Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
