Scope and Purpose

Based in our Milan Corporate Office, the HR Intern will support the HR Manager in ensuring administrative excellence and operational efficiency. You will play a key role in the daily "heartbeat" of the office, assisting with people administration, payroll processes, and office management, while learning how a global luxury brand manages its most valuable asset: its people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboarding & Induction: Participate in the onboarding and induction programs for new joiners, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and are properly introduced to Belmond’s culture and values.
  • People Administration: Support the full employee lifecycle, from assisting with hiring documentation and contract preparation to maintaining accurate digital and physical personnel files.
  • Payroll Support: Assist in the monthly payroll cycle by gathering data, tracking attendance, and ensuring all relevant information is prepared for processing.
  • HR Systems & Reporting: Support the management and update of internal HR systems and databases, assisting in the creation of regular reports on headcounts and HR KPIs.
  • Compliance & Confidentiality: Ensure all HR activities and documentation strictly adhere to legal requirements and the company's code of conduct regarding sensitive information.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate or student in Human Resources, Psychology, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • An absolute understanding of the importance of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive people data.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Italian and English.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with a particular focus on Excel for reporting and data management.
  • A proactive "can-do" spirit.
