We are looking for a collaborative, energetic, self-driven HR Generalist to join our team! Under the supervision of the Chief People Officer, you will run the daily functions of the Seer Human Resource Department including onboarding and orientation, HRIS maintenance, administering benefits and leaves and answering inquires from employees and management regarding company policies and practices. This role will be based on-site in our Redwood City office on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (Part Time/24 Hours).

Responsibilities & Goals

Areas of specific responsibility and attention will include:

  • Coordinate with the Chief People Officer and Hiring Managers to successfully onboard new employees and conduct new hire orientation.
  • Help new employees with new hire paperwork and benefits
  • Maintains our HRIS, BambooHR
  • Review, track, and documents compliance with mandatory training. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training and workplace violence training.
  • Performs tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leaves; performance and talent management; recognition and retention; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Background & Qualifications

Key requirements include:

  • 5 years of combined experience in Human Resources as a HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Coordinator.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations in California.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn BambooHR and Greenhouse
  • Strong and collaborative work ethic; must be a self-starter and persistent in achieving objectives to support Seer’s scientific and business goals
  • Must work well in a small team setting, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, while meeting scheduled deadlines in a fast-paced environment

At Seer, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $68,000 and $78,000 per year (for part time/ 3 days) and will depend on the candidates education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This position is also eligible for bonus and participation in the Company’s equity plan.
