Your Role:
The HR Director will be an active member of the IBW leadership team and will be responsible for developing, leading, and managing the internal Human Resources Function. This position will allow a creative and strategic-minded HR Leader to develop the associated strategy, programs, processes, and policies in the areas of: recruitment and retention, compensation & benefits, management and leadership development, training and development, employee relations, community relations, employee communications, and HR systems.

Travel
- This role will require you to be in-person at least once a week in Bowmanville and once a week at any other IBW office across Ontario. All offices require consistent visits to maintain good HR relationships. Mileage is reimbursed.
- Personal Vehicle with a G-driver's license
- CHRL or greater
- 7 years of senior leadership experience

Your Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high-performance HR Function as a whole
- Partner with peer leaders to coach, support and develop a high-performance team
- Create an HR strategy aligned to the business plan; identify gaps and put plans in place to create strategies, standards and policies across the function
- Develop compensation and benefits policies that align with industry competitiveness in order to attract, motivate and develop talented professionals across the organization
- Facilitate annual Employee Pulse Survey and develop strategies for continuous improvement of leadership skills and employee engagement. Support and monitor action programs. Facilitate dialogue with leadership teams regarding the outcome of the survey.

Work with the leadership team on career path and management development programs for their staff:
- Develop and implement a high potential employee program
- Develop and implement leadership development program
- Manage, administer and monitor the performance management cycle across all teams
- Manage the health & safety program on behalf of the organization that consists of approximately one-third field-based staff
- Improve attraction and retention metrics; develop and implement a comprehensive people management strategy to position IBW as a Preferred Place to Work, including a comprehensive communication plan on the advantages of working for an industry leader
- Develop and implement a community relations strategy to increase IBW reputation and visibility
- Develop, implement and monitor productivity and cost-effectiveness measures
- Identify opportunities to enhance operating effectiveness and efficiency of the organization through engagement, org design, and innovative new programs
