Human Resources Business Partner

TLDR

Manage non-recruitment HR operations globally, focusing on performance management and enhancing people operations through technology-driven approaches.

ThinkMarkets is a global financial technology company, specializing in providing multi-asset trading solutions to thousands of clients around the world. With our flagship ThinkTrader platform, we make it available for our clients to trade the world 24-hours a day. Our mission is to bridge the gap between traders, investors, and platforms by allowing access to global markets and thousands of products, thus providing our clients with the ability to trade the world in the palm of their hand. We use the latest technologies to give traders seamless access to our proprietary trading platforms.

We are seeking a hands-on, execution-focused Human Resources Business Partner based in Dubai to manage all non-recruitment HR matters across our global offices. This role is suited to a hands-on HR professional who enjoys operational ownership and execution, rather than a purely strategic leadership position. The ideal candidate will have international HR exposure, strong technology literacy, and a data-driven approach, with a focus on strengthening performance management and enhancing people operations across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations & Process Management

  • Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and procedures that are fit for a fast-moving, technology-focused business.
  • Design and roll out structured probation reviews, annual performance reviews, and grading frameworks across departments.
  • Support line managers in carrying out their people management responsibilities, including setting clear expectations, conducting reviews, and managing underperformance.

Global HR Coverage

  • Provide HR support across global offices with primary focus on Dubai; exposure to and understanding of HR practices across multiple geographies is essential.
  • Support day-to-day HR matters across multiple regions in a practical and commercially minded manner.

HR Technology & Systems

  • Manage and optimise HR systems (HRIS, performance management tools, payroll platforms), ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Champion technology-driven approaches to HR; be comfortable with data, automation, and digital-first ways of working.

Compliance & Contracts

  • Oversee the review and maintenance of employment contracts, ensuring they are current, compliant, and aligned with local labour law across all jurisdictions.
  • Ensure robust documentation practices to support onboarding, performance management, and, where necessary, terminations.

Training & Development

  • Build and manage structured training plans for employees at all levels, ensuring the business can evidence the support provided to staff.
  • Partner with department heads on onboarding programmes that set clear expectations from day one and build a foundation for strong performance.

Employee Relations & Risk

  • Handle employee relations matters in a fair, pragmatic, and legally sound way, prioritising practical resolution over rigid process.
  • Ensure the business is protected and compliant with employment legislation across jurisdictions, flagging people-related risks proactively.

KPIs & Performance Frameworks

  • Design and implement KPI frameworks and objective-setting processes across departments, supporting managers in holding their teams accountable in a structured and consistent way.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field; CIPD or equivalent professional qualification is a plus.
  • 5–10 years of HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced, tech-driven or financial services environment; someone with a hands-on and operational mindset, rather than a purely strategic leadership background.
  • Solid working knowledge of UAE employment law and familiarity with HR practices across multiple geographies (UK, EU, APAC exposure is advantageous).
  • Proficient in HRIS and HR tech platforms; comfortable working with data and using systems to improve people processes and reporting.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of working in regulated, technology or financial services businesses.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are an advantage.
