Job Description: Human Resources Business Partner Director – India
Location: India - Hybrid
Position Summary
As the leader of our HRBP team in India, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic talent strategy across our India organization that aligns with Hitachi Vantara business objectives. You will lead a team of HRBPs, ensuring they have the resources, support and partnership with the business to execute the talent strategy. You will develop and implement innovative initiatives that enhance our employee engagement, retention and development in India.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coach and develop a team of HRBPs in India, providing guidance, support and mentorship.
• Develop an India-wide talent strategy aligned with Hitachi Vantara business objectives, and in close collaboration with leadership, that enhances employee engagement, retention and development.
• Serve as the key HR point of contact for the business teams in India, both for your team, as well as teams and leaders which you will partner with directly.
• Promote diversity and inclusion across all HR strategies and processes, to ensure the continued advancement in related initiatives.
• Build influential relationships with key stakeholders across the business, in other functions to provide support, coaching and enablement to teams.
• Partner strategically with various COE’s within HR to support and implement various programs, including Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and Talent Enablement.
• Proactively stay informed about HR best practices, market trends, labor laws, and internal company policies to ensure compliance and effectiveness as well as promote market leading practices.
• Proactively leverage HR metrics and data analyses to identify trends, derive insights, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage any additional projects or responsibilities that may be assigned based on the business and HR needs.
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in HR roles, including experience leading HR teams.
• Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing talent initiatives, such as workforce planning, succession planning, and location strategies, as well as leading change management initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations issues and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Proven experience building influential partnerships and as trusted advisor across all levels, including senior executives.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a global organization, with global teams and being flexible to accommodate multiple time zones while maintaining work-life balance.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
• An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
