We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Benefits Manager to join our client's team in a fully onsite role at their downtown Baltimore office. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional with a strong background in benefits administration within a corporate, professional services environment. The Benefits Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of employee benefits programs, including health and welfare plans, leave administration, compliance, vendor management, and employee communications. This role requires prior experience in law firms or professional services organizations such as architectural, engineering, accounting, finance, or similar corporate settings, where precision, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance are essential. This is a 100% onsite position, with the potential for 1 remote day per week in the future, based on performance and business needs. This position will be a 6 month contract-to-permanent hire BUT the client is open to direct placement if the candidate is a strong fit! Key Responsibilities
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in benefits and leave administration
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the Benefits and Leave administration modules in Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG experience NOT required).
  • Ensure data integrity, troubleshoot system issues, and support HRIS upgrades or process enhancements.
  • Proficiency with HRIS benefits modules, ACA compliance tools, COBRA platforms, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Manage plan vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration.
