We’re hiring an HRSS Generalist at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. 

As an HRSS Generalist you will assist with the daily duties of running the HR Department. May be asked to help with termination paperwork, FMLA, Workman’s Compensation, Benefits Administration, Appraisals, exit interviews and other duties. Ensures positive employee relations with the company’s HR department. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • May assist with new employee background checks
  • Assists with the HR system processing of terminations 
  • Schedule termination paperwork to be mailed. 
  • Assist with implementation of of HR process and procedures company-wide
  • Responsible for filing terminations, LOA’s and appraisals in employee files
  • Be a resource for managers when looking for appropriate documents and or guidance involving terminations and Leave of Absence. 
  • Assist with Workman’s Compensation claims
  • Partner with the benefits teams to ensure benefits terminations are scheduled
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Working understanding of Human Resources principles and procedures
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with Google Suite is a a plus

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2 years of prior HR experience

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing
  • Working in front of a computer 7+ hours/day
