OPPORTUNITY 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical HRIS Specialist with expertise in Workday to play a pivotal role in ensuring the Firm’s investment in a best-in-class HCM to enhance the delivery of HR, maximize system utilization, and deliver ROI back to the business.  As a key member of the Workday implementation and optimization team, you’ll serve as the go-to expert for system configuration, process improvement, and data integrity. You’ll collaborate closely with HR, Compensation, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions that support strategic decision-making. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

System Administration & Maintenance 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday system configuration, updates, and troubleshooting. 
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. 
  • Manage user access, roles, and security settings. 

 

Payroll Managing and Execution 

  • Collaborate with Payroll and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing. 
  • Maintain and audit payroll-related data in Workday, including compensation, time tracking, and tax information. 
  • Support payroll integrations and troubleshoot issues related to data flow between Workday and payroll systems. 

 

HR/Compensation Analytics 

  • Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards to support HR and leadership decision making. 
  • Analyze HR and payroll data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Analyze compensation data to support salary benchmarking, pay equity reviews, and incentive planning. 
  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor compensation trends, budget adherence, and workforce cost metrics. 
  • Partner with Total Rewards and HR leadership to provide data-driven insights for compensation strategy and planning. 
  • Support compliance with compensation policies and regulatory requirements. 

 

Process Improvement 

  • Collaborate with HR leadership team, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to streamline workflows and improve system and program efficiency. 
  • Recommend enhancements and lead implementation of new Workday modules or features. 

 

Training & Support 

  • Provide end-user support and training for HR and other system stakeholders. 
  • Create and maintain documentation for system processes and procedures. 

Project Management 

  • Support HRIS-related projects, including upgrades, integrations, and data migrations. 
  • Coordinate with vendors and consultants as needed. 

Requirements

KEY QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • 1-3 years of experience working with Workday in an HRIS role, including payroll and compensation support. 
  • Strong understanding of HR, payroll, and compensation processes and data structures. 
  • Expert in Workday reporting tools and business processes. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
  • Experience with project management and cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Workday integration experience or familiarity with the system. 

 

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience with payroll systems and integrations (e.g., Ceridian, Workday). 
  • Familiarity with Canadian payroll and compensation regulations.
