The HR People Partner serves as the primary HR contact for a defined employee population, providing day‑to‑day support across the full employee lifecycle. The People Partner works independently with general guidance and collaborates closely with other HR functions to deliver timely, accurate, and compliant HR services.

Primary Duties 

  • Provide guidance on people matters, including performance concerns, policy interpretation, and local employment regulations.
  • Escalate complex or sensitive cases to senior HR partners or specialist HR teams as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR data to support compliance with local labor laws and internal governance standards.
  • Assist in the deployment of annual HR programs including performance reviews, compensation planning, talent processes, and employee engagement activities
  • Solve moderately difficult HR problems that may require evaluating multiple factors or considering impacts across different roles or functions.
  • Recommend and implement small-scale improvements to HR processes, practices, or systems to enhance efficiency or employee experience.
  • Use sound judgment to interpret policies and apply them to real world situations in a consistent and equitable manner.
  • Advise and support managers with their teams, organization effectiveness, performance management and change management skills.
  • Manage employee relations anticipating possible issues and suggesting action plans.
  • Understands the client groups’ business, key activities, priorities and strategy as well as their team members as an active member of the client group management team
  • Advises on organizational design elements with their Business Groups as needed
  • Ensure applicable legislation is adhered to.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor degree,  Human Resources or Business Admin preferred
  • 2+ years of HR Business Partnering or HR Generalist work.
    • Solid understanding of HR fundamentals, employment practices, and local labor regulations.

The estimated salary range for this role based in Utah is between $85,300 – $100,000. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
