HR Operations Specialist

TLDR

Manage end-to-end HR transactions utilizing Workday across the CIS region, support audits, and contribute to advancements in HR operations for a global team.

Who will you be working with?

You will be working with the CIS Regional HR Operations team, a group dedicated to delivering high‑quality HR services across multiple countries. The team collaborates closely with local HR, payroll, and business leaders to ensure smooth HR processes, accurate data management, and excellent employee experience. You will also interact with external vendors and cross‑functional teams globally to support HR operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the CIS HR Operations group, you will be responsible for operational and system support of employee lifecycle transactions across Workday, local HR systems, and processes defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
In this role, you will manage end‑to‑end HR transactions, maintain data integrity, support audits, and serve as the primary point of contact for Workday expertise across the CIS region. You will contribute to process improvements, support system enhancements, and ensure adherence to SLAs and compliance requirements. Your work will directly support HR teams, business leaders, and employees across multiple locations.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Kazakh labor laws and local regulations, including shift work requirements.
  • Preferred hands‑on experience with HR systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, and 1C: ZUP.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, VLOOKUP); Power BI knowledge is an advantage.
  • Professional fluency in English, Kazakh, and Russian.
  • Legal authorization in Kazakhstan is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to global teams, management, and remote employees.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self‑motivated, independent, and quick learner.
  • Familiarity with local government HR portals is a plus.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Manage end‑to‑end employee lifecycle transactions in Workday and 1C: ZUP for assigned countries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of HR transactions in line with SLAs and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate filing of HR documentation and support audit activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for CIS HR teams regarding Workday processes and lifecycle transactions.
  • Coordinate with external vendors on payroll, insurance, and learning‑related topics.
  • Handle HR cases in ServiceNow.
  • Participate in Workday testing for system upgrades and new business processes.
  • Identify and propose process improvements within HR operations.
  • Engage in cross‑training to support a globalized HR Operations model.
  • Support special projects and take on additional responsibilities related to regional or global initiatives.
