Your team:
This part-time remote position with approximately 20 hours per week is part of the People / Human Resources team. You will support our HR operations in the United States and serve as a key point of contact for U.S.-specific HR topics. While the People team is primarily based in Germany, this role provides hands-on support from within the U.S. for local HR administration, compliance, and day-to-day operations.
Your new job:
- Manage employee records, contracts, and core HR documentation, maintaining data accuracy in HR systems and preparing reports and dashboards as needed.
- Support payroll preparation, benefits administration (e.g 401K and insurance enrollment), and leave management.
Maintain HR systems and ensure data accuracy.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.
Support day-to-day HR operations, administrative processes, and employee inquiries.
Ensure compliance with federal and state-specific employment laws and regulations (e.g. paid family leave, state disability insurance, unemployment insurance) across multiple US states.
Coordinate and ensure smooth communication with external partners and service providers as needed.
Ensure adherence to internal policies, labor law requirements, and data protection standards.
Your background:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and previous experience in HR administration, operations, or a similar role
Knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with a high attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong English communication skills and a collaborative, reliable, and solution-oriented working style.
- Intrinsic motivation to take ownership while contributing effectively to a team environment.
- Comfortable working in a remote-first environment with multicultural teams across different time zones.
