YOUR ROLE

 

This is a temporary position (8 months) to cover a maternity leave.

 

Based in Madrid and supporting both the Madrid and Barcelona offices, you will act as a trusted HR Generalist partner for Spain, providing a full HR service to approximately 140 employees. You will work closely with managers and employees, with a strong focus on HR projects, change management, employee relations and the delivery of key HR initiatives aligned with the business strategy.

 

You will:

  • Be responsible for the HR function across all company functions and divisions in Spain

  • Partner with the business, managing HR relationships and advising on strategic and operational people matters

  • Drive the people agenda through HR project delivery, identifying issues, implementing solutions and managing risks

  • Proactively identify areas where HR can add value by working closely with business stakeholders

  • Support organizational effectiveness through consistent application of people policies and practices

 

YOUR TEAM

 

·       You will reports to the Head of HR Europe, Russia & Americas

·       You will work closely with the regional HR team and specialists HR functions across Europe

·       You will be responsible for the local HR team in Spain

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

HR Projects & Change Management

  • Support and deliver local HR projects aligned with business needs

  • Define, prepare and implement HR initiatives at country level

  • Participate in the payroll provider change transition

  • Support change management, restructuring and consultation processes

 

HR Processes & Policies

  • Create, adapt and implement HR policies in line with Spanish employment legislation and business requirements

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws while maintaining company standards and best practices

 

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Ensure efficient end-to-end recruitment across all departments in Spain

  • Partner with the internal Talent Acquisition team and key stakeholders to attract and hire high-caliber talent

  • Deliver induction and onboarding sessions for new joiners

 

Employee Relations & People Management

  • Act as a consultant, coach and trusted advisor to managers on organizational and people-related matters

  • Provide guidance on employee relations issues, conflict resolution and performance management

  • Ensure fair and consistent treatment of employees across the organization

  • Address compensation, benefits and pay-related concerns in collaboration with line managers

 

Learning, Development & Engagement

  • Work with Talent Team and managers to identify development needs

  • Support and facilitate learning and development initiatives where appropriate

  • Promote employee engagement and support retention strategies

 

HR Reporting & Analytics

  • Ensure HR audits, metrics, analytics and reports are accurate and delivered on time

  • Use key people metrics to drive continuous improvement in HR processes and business effectiveness

 

Mobility

  • Manage expatriate-related matters where applicable

Requirements

TO SUCCEED IN THE ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE:

 

  • Solid HR Generalist experience in a fast-paced commercial environment, ideally within travel, tourism or retail

  • Strong hands-on HR experience in Spain, including deep knowledge of Spanish employment legislation and payroll practices

  • Experience working in an international company environment

  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee retention and talent management

  • Experience supporting change management, consultation and organizational restructuring

  • Strong coaching skills with demonstrated experience developing managers

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to operate at all levels of the organization

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Experience working with an HR Information System (Workday preferred)

  • Native Spanish and excellent English (written and spoken)
