Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced (8-year+) HR Manager to lead and execute all aspects of our European HR operations, strategy, and policy development.
Reporting to the Administrative & Finance director, this multifaceted role will play a crucial role in fostering strong talent attraction/engagement/retention, aligning our HR processes with the strategic vision and values of the company, and ensuring both effective and efficient HR management across all levels. The position will help move the organization to the next level of a maturity model during a time of transformation and growth.
This role requires a balance between strategic thinking and hands-on operational tasks. Given our startup environment, adaptability and a willingness to engage in operational duties are essential (administration, compliance, regulation, payroll...).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute on all aspects of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, diversity initiatives, learning and development, coordination with operational or business teams, HR strategy, and HR projects & technology.
- Ensure that HR policies and practices align with local labor laws and regulatory requirements, maintaining full compliance.
- Drive payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in HR administration.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR processes to enhance organizational efficiency, employee experience, and compliance standards.
- Design and execute HR strategies that align with the company’s goals, fostering a positive and high-performing organizational culture.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees across various departments (engineering, sales, administration), providing expert guidance on HR-related issues.
- Collaborate with the HR team at the holding level to ensure alignment and consistency in HR practices.
- Function as a strategic HR business partner, supporting headcount budgeting and forecasting for the subsidiary.
- Manage the budget for the EU HR group, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources.
Team Leadership
- Directly manage two group members: a Senior Talent Acquisition Officer and a HR Assistant.
- Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture, providing mentorship and support to develop the skills and career progression of team members.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a master’s degree or recognized HR certification is highly desirable.
- At least 8 years of proven experience in HR management, encompassing both strategic and operational responsibilities. Experience in the aerospace or emerging technology sectors is preferred.
- Extensive experience in HR administration, compliance, payroll, and regulatory matters.
- Familiarity with Luxembourg’s labor laws and workforce regulations is advantageous.
- Proven ability to oversee multiple HR functions while adapting to the dynamic demands of a fast-paced startup environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on performance measurement and monitoring.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Willingness to undertake occasional international travel as required.
