HR Intern

TLDR

Participate in a hands-on HR internship that offers real-world exposure to building and scaling HR operations, contributing to onboarding and a key HRIS migration initiative.

Samba TV tracks streaming and broadcast video across the world with our proprietary data and technology. We are on a mission to fundamentally transform the viewing experience for everyone. Our data enables media companies to connect with audiences for new shows and movies, and enables advertisers to engage viewers and measure reach across all their devices. We have an amazing story with a unique perspective on culture formed by a global footprint of data and AI-driven insights. We're looking for a motivated HR Intern to join our People Operations team in San Francisco for Summer 2026. This is a hands-on internship where you'll work across the entire HR function — supporting onboarding, employee programs, workplace initiatives and a key HRIS migration initiative. You'll gain broad, real-world exposure to what it takes to build and scale HR operations at a fast-growing technology company. WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Work across the full HR team, supporting onboarding, employee engagement, and people operations

  • Play an active role in an HRIS migration — assisting with data audits, system testing, documentation, and change management support

  • Help maintain HR systems and employee data for accuracy and compliance throughout the transition

  • Assist with new hire onboarding — preparing materials, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a smooth Day 1 experience

  • Support employee engagement initiatives, internal programs, and team events

  • Assist in drafting HR communications and process documentation

  • Research HR best practices and contribute ideas to improve people programs

WHO YOU ARE
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail — especially important given the HRIS migration work

  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication

  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office; familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling, Workday, BambooHR) is a plus

  • Prior coursework or experience in HR, recruiting, or people operations is a plus
