Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive HR Generalist to provide operational HR support for US-based employees. This role focuses on employee lifecycle support, HR administration, and coordination with payroll/finance teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong policy comprehension and can support employees by explaining HR policies and procedures in a practical, understandable way. Familiarity with US HR policies and practices is highly preferred but not required.
Note: This role does not include managing US statutory compliance (e.g., Social Security, FICA, ACA, labor law compliance).
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes for employees supporting US teams.
Maintain accurate HR records and employee documentation in HRIS.
Assist in implementing and enforcing company HR policies and code of conduct.
Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communications.
Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate follow-ups.
Prepare interview questions and evaluation scorecards.
Conduct phone screening interviews and maintain recruitment records.
Support new hire orientation and probation monitoring.
Support HR processes in alignment with US HR policies and practices, including:
PTO/ leave policies
Performance review cycles
Employee engagement practices
Company policies and code of conduct
Provide guidance to employees regarding HR policies and procedures, escalating complex or sensitive matters to senior HR leadership as needed.
Qualifications/Must-Haves
4–7 years of HR experience, with a preference for candidates who have supported remote or international teams.
Skilled at interpreting HR policies and procedures and helping employees navigate them effectively.
Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, employee support).
Comfortable working independently in a remote setup and collaborating across time zones.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and sound judgment when handling employee matters.
Nice-to-Haves
Exposure to US HR policies or experience supporting US-based employees.
Experience working in global, remote, or distributed teams.
Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, or payroll systems.
Experience supporting employee engagement programs.
Analytical, reporting, project management, or consulting experience.
