HR Generalist (Contract - 6 months)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across multiple functions. This role will act as a key resource for first-line managers, assist with employee relations, oversee offboarding, and support various HR initiatives, including immigration, policy coordination, and data analytics.

This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office) and is located in Austin, Texas.

About the team

The Global People Team at Auctane is dedicated to serving the needs of the business and the team members who keep it running. As a team, we work across employee relations, talent acquisition, HR operations, talent management, health and welfare benefits, HRIS, compensation, worker’s compensation, performance management, learning and development, and project management. Though we’re a fast-moving team with a lot of responsibilities, we work together to ensure that every aspect of an employee’s experience is thoughtfully considered and weighed against the values of the organization. We support five offices located in Poland, Spain, UK, Australia, and the USA.

What will you be doing?

Generalist HR Support

• Serve as the first point of contact for first-line managers, addressing HR-related questions and guiding them on policies and best practices.
• Assist in employee relations (ER) cases by gathering data, documenting concerns, and escalating when necessary.
• Provide HR data analytics and reporting support to help drive informed decision-making.

Offboarding & Policy Coordination

• Own the offboarding process, ensuring smooth transitions, compliance, and communication with key stakeholders.
• Coordinate updates and maintenance of the employee handbook to ensure alignment with company policies and legal requirements.

Immigration & Compliance

• Assist in immigration-related processes, including documentation tracking and coordination with legal counsel.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Office Hours & Ad Hoc HR Support

• Host regular office hours to address HR-related questions and provide guidance to employees.
• Manage various HR data-related tasks, including data entry, audits, and research on industry trends.

What are we looking for?

• Experience: 2+ years in an HR Generalist or similar role, with exposure to employee relations, policy coordination, and HR analytics.
• Skills: Strong data management, research, and analytical abilities; excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with HR policies, employment laws, immigration processes, and offboarding best practices.

The Tech

• Proficiency in HRIS systems
• Excel
• Data reporting tools are a plus
