The Role

The Contract HR Generalist (APJ) reports into the Manager, HR Business Partner. Working in partnership with HR Business Partners, the HR Generalist provides guidance to employees and people managers to resolve employee questions, issues or concerns and champion employee engagement as the local HR contact for APJ employees.  Recommends and implements effective HR solutions to balance employee needs with business objectives.  Finds ways to build morale, support culture, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity and retention. Advises and advocates on HR policies and procedures to promote company culture and compliance.

As the sole member of the HR team based in the APJ region, the HR Generalist plays a key role in providing local support to the broader HR teams of Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and HR Operations as and when required. 

What You’ll Do

  • Provides day-to-day operational HR support to managers and employees
  • Provides regional benefits support to the Total Rewards team, managers and employees
  • Manages employee onboarding activities across the APJ,Middle East, and EMEA regions
  • Oversees compliance requirements and semi-annual compliance training requirements globally
  • Manages employee onboarding and offboarding activities in partnership with other HR Generalists
  • Leads Culture initiatives for the region in Partnership with the Global Culture Committee
  • Office Management in collaboration with global Facilities leader
  • Owns probation review process and administration for global employee base
  • Supports with in-person and remote office events for Singapore and other APJ offices
  • Supports the Talent Acquisition with any local job posting requirements
  • Supports the Legal team with any local requirements relating to Immigration as and when required

What You’ll Bring

  • 1-2 years’ experience working in Human Resources, managing employee lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Singapore employment regulations with the desire to learn Global employment regulations
  • Understanding of local labor considerations and Singapore immigration regulations and processes (e.g. COMPASS framework, ONE pass, Employment pass)
  • Ability to apply sound judgement and discretion in managing work and handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of HRIS platforms
  • Self-starter with demonstrated accountability for results
