Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and enforce comprehensive data governance policies and standards at the group level
  • Drive overall HR data strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory landscape
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to establish data governance culture across all BUs and regions
  • Provide strategic oversight of data stewardship roles and accountability frameworks

Data Architecture

  • Data Architecture Strategy: Help the Function in defining at least 2–3-year strategy for data architecture to set solid foundations for creating impact through reporting, Analytics and supporting AI related used cases.
  • Data Modelling and Reporting: Develop and maintain data models for HR reporting and analytics. This includes support the broader reporting and analytics team in designing and implementing reports and dashboards to support strategic decision-making within HR and across the organization.
  • Technology Evaluation and Selection: Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance HR data management and analytics capabilities. This includes staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the field of HR data analytics.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage data stewardship roles and responsibilities across the organization
  • Coordinate with HR Data Owners and Stewards to ensure consistent data quality standards
  • Implement lifecycle management requirements and compliance monitoring processes
  • Drive investment decisions related to data governance infrastructure and capabilities

Essential Experience

  • 8+ years in data governance, data management, or related field
  • 5+ years in HR data management or HR analytics environment
  • Proven track record leading enterprise-wide governance transformations
  • Experience with global, multi-regional data compliance requirements

Technical Expertise

  • Deep understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices
  • Knowledge of HR data ecosystems and employee data lifecycle
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS platforms

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels
  • Strategic Thinking: Capability to translate business needs into governance frameworks
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for policy development
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and ethical reasoning capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in data management, Information Systems, or related field
  • Professional certifications in data governance (DGSP, CDMP) or privacy (CIPP/E, CIPM)
  • Background in change management and organizational transformation

Success Metrics

  • Implementation of comprehensive HR data governance framework within 12 months
  • Achievement of 95%+ data quality scores across key HR datasets
  • Zero major compliance incidents related to HR data management
  • Successful establishment of cross-functional governance steering committee
  • Measurable improvement in data-driven HR decision making capabilities
