W Costa Navarino, exclusively for adults and young adults over 12 years old, offers 226 stylish rooms, 2 bedroom suites and 3 bedroom villas with infinity private pools, staged in the Bay of Navarino with stunning Ionian Sea views, The Watersports Center, The Away Spa and gym with a heated 25m-long lap pool, including the new Navarino Agora, an open marketplace with retail, street food, open-air cinema and exciting programming throughout the day and night.

W Costa Navarino is looking for a Host / Hostess. The selected candidate will oversee outlet operations and support service efforts by warmly welcoming guests and ensuring their utmost satisfaction. They will address guest inquiries promptly, courteously, and efficiently, while also performing necessary opening and closing duties.

Responsibilities

Prepare reservation list daily and allocate tables according to outlet needs.

• Welcome guests and provide excellent service, maintaining all H&S rules and Brand Standards. Manage guest’s expectations, and attend to their needs, in a proactive and positive manner.
• Ability to manage exigent guests during rush hours, providing the best possible solution, exceeding guests’ expectations. Update guest’s profile information on GXP platform.
• Excellent knowledge of menu and retail items, demonstrating selling and upselling skills, as per outlet goals.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and preserve a clean and tidy work area at all times.
• Communicate special requests from guests to the F&B and culinary team, regarding allergies or specific preferences, to ensure excellent customer service is provided.
• Carry out position allocated tasks during shift and provide a detailed handover at the end of the shift, focusing on continuous improvement on a daily basis.
• Assist in all BOH preparations when necessary, ensuring teamwork and effective communication is maintained.
• Follow all H&S rules, hotel policies, SOPs and Brand Standards at all times. Guide and encourage team to do the same.
• Attend all trainings and seminars provided by the company and continuously remain updated for all trends and market news

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a comparable guest service role is preferred.
• High School Diploma, Associate’s Degree (IEK), or a two-year technical certificate in the Tourism and Hospitality industry.
• Fluent in English. Fluency in Greek is desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, adapt to changing situations, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Proficient in MICROS and POS systems.
• Professional and presentable appearance.
• Excellent customer service skills, including proficiency in selling and upselling.
• Strong negotiation skills.
