About the Role
The Home Manager is the in-market steward of Pacaso homes, responsible for the physical, operational, and financial performance of a portfolio of homes. This role ensures every home is stay-ready, compliant with Pacaso Home Standards, and operated within budget, while collaborating closely with centralized Owner Services to deliver a seamless owner experience.
The Home Manager engages directly when on-site expertise, inspections, vendor execution, or in-home issue resolution is required. This role is critical to protecting the asset, reducing recurring issues, and ensuring Pacaso homes perform reliably over time.

What You’ll Do
Own Home Readiness & Standards
- Ensure all homes in your portfolio consistently meet Pacaso Home Standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality
- Conduct regular onsite inspections, including stay-readiness checks, seasonal preparedness, and system validations
Ensure homes are fully prepared before owner stays, coordinating closely with Owner Services as needed
Manage home inventory, consumables, and critical supplies
- Maintain accurate home manuals and system documentation
Collaborate with Maintenance on Home Care & Issue Resolution
- Serve as the in-market collaborator and subject-matter expert for assigned homes, supporting the Maintenance team with context, prioritization, and onsite insight
Identify maintenance needs through inspections, owner feedback, and system data, and collaborate with Maintenance to scope, plan, and schedule work
Support preventative and reactive maintenance by coordinating access, clarifying expectations, and validating outcomes
- Assist with urgent in-stay escalations by working alongside Maintenance to restore the owner experience quickly
- Verify the quality and completeness of maintenance work to ensure alignment with Pacaso Home Standards
Identify recurring issues and collaborate with Maintenance to drive root-cause resolution
Vendor & Field Operations Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-quality local service providers
- Oversee recurring vendors (cleaning, pool, landscape, pest, etc.) to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency
Inspect vendor work and ensure adherence to service standards
Financial Stewardship & Asset Performance
- Own visibility into home-level operating costs and budget adherence
Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations teams on annual budgeting, reserve planning, and lifecycle forecasting
Identify cost-saving opportunities through improved planning, preventative care, and issue reduction
Operational Integrity
- Ensure work orders, inspections, and resolutions are accurately documented
- Maintain high SLA performance and follow defined escalation paths
- Ensure home data, systems, and records remain accurate and up to date
Use Pacaso systems and tools to manage portfolio health and performance
Collaborate Closely with Owner Services & Cross-Functional Teams
- Provide field expertise and feedback to improve remote troubleshooting and owner support
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Accounting to align on home performance and owner outcomes
- Act as the local liaison with neighbors, HOAs, and community partners as needed
About You
- 3–5 years of experience in property management, hospitality operations, or field-based asset management
- Strong background in home operations, maintenance oversight, and vendor management
- Experience managing property-level budgets and operating costs
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and learning new platforms quickly
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating closely with centralized teams
Technical & Hands-On Capabilities
- Working knowledge of home systems (WiFi, HVAC, AV, pools, access controls, smart home tech)
- Basic handiness with tools and comfort performing light onsite tasks when appropriate
- Ability to assess issues, determine escalation paths, and drive resolution

Compensation
- The overall market range for this role is $80,000- $90,000 for this position, with a competitive equity package and total compensation evaluated bi-annually.
