Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist

TLDR

Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of diesel-powered mobile equipment, including troubleshooting and fabricating parts as needed.

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The individual hired into this position would be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment.

Essential Functions

Ability to work safely at all times
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engines
Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools
Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment
Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

HS Diploma or GED required
Valid US driver's license
Minimum 5 years of experience with CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engine repairs
Certification from a trade school is preferred
Previous mining experience is a plus
Bilingual is a plus
A CDL and a clean driving record is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position that regularly requires 40+ hours per week in a surface and/or underground mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.
