Operate heavy equipment at the Grandgeorge Quarry while ensuring safety and efficiency in mining operations and supporting site maintenance.

Job Description       
This position will support our Grandgeorge Quarry located in Webster City, IA.  
 
Essential Functions
Responsible for operating 980 size loader and other equipment utilized in mining Run the scale on site, which includes operating a computer Perform daily inspection on the machine and the location Maintain de-watering pumps at the location Communicate with customers, sales staff, and management Assist on plant maintenance and repairs as needed Other mining-related duties as required

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.   
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full‑time position requiring 40+ hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturday work may be needed based on operational demands. Weekend availability, both Saturday and Sunday, may also be required to maintain proper water levels in the pit as directed.
 
Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 + year related experience
