Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a medical field or related pharmaceutical industry
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Virtual Medical Assistant
Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal, reaching at least C1 proficiency
Thorough comprehension of medical terminology and procedures
Proficiency in navigating EHR/EMR systems and adept at troubleshooting common technical issues
Knowledgeable about healthcare privacy regulations
Demonstrates strong interpersonal abilities
Robust organizational and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail
Technologically adept, familiar with contemporary tools such as desktop sharing, cloud services, and VoIP
Available to work the night shift

Duties and Responsibilities

Record details of new patient admissions and referrals.
Oversee the scheduling of appointments, managing changes such as cancellations and rescheduling for both patients and healthcare providers.
Enter patient data, medical records (including CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes), and billing information into EMR/EHR systems.
Assist in processing insurance claims, verifying patient insurance details, and handling billing inquiries, concerns, and documentation.
Address incoming patient inquiries, offering assistance and guiding them to the appropriate healthcare provider.
Assist in the analysis of healthcare data, compiling reports, and maintaining records.
Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, uphold privacy standards, and maintain patient confidentiality.
Arrange for the transfer of medical records to various departments, healthcare providers, and professionals as instructed by the Managing Physician.
Perform additional tasks as required.
