We are seeking a Healthcare Facility Manager for a position at Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

As the Healthcare Facility Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of healthcare facilities at Al Udeid Air Base. This role oversees facility maintenance, infrastructure systems, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clinical leadership to ensure a safe, functional, and mission-ready healthcare environment supporting military and authorized personnel.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Facility Operations & Maintenance

  • Manage day-to-day operations of healthcare facilities, including clinics, medical treatment areas, and support spaces.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, fire protection).
  • Ensure rapid response to facility issues that may impact patient care or mission readiness.
  • Coordinate with base civil engineering, contractors, and vendors for repairs and upgrades.

Regulatory Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA), host-nation regulations, and recognized healthcare standards (e.g., NFPA, Joint Commission–aligned requirements as applicable).
  • Maintain life-safety systems and documentation, including inspections, testing, and drills.
  • Support infection prevention and environmental safety programs in coordination with clinical staff.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness, mass casualty, and contingency planning.

Project & Asset Management

  • Manage facility-related projects, renovations, and space planning initiatives.
  • Oversee equipment and infrastructure asset tracking, lifecycle planning, and replacement schedules.
  • Review technical drawings, scopes of work, and contractor deliverables for accuracy and compliance.

Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise facilities staff and/or contracted personnel.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare leadership, logistics, safety, and security teams.
  • Prepare reports, metrics, and briefings on facility performance, risks, and improvement plans.

Budget & Administration

  • Assist with budgeting, cost control, and forecasting for facility operations and capital improvements.
  • Ensure proper documentation within CMMS or other facility management systems.
  • Support audits, inspections, and command-level reviews.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in healthcare or mission-critical environments.
  • HFM (Hospital Facility Management) training/certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, life-safety requirements, and healthcare facility operations.
  • Experience working in secure, remote, or overseas environments.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred)
  • Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

TRAVEL: 100%, in deployed location.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
