POSITION SUMMARY:
The Health Care Assistant (HCA) plays a crucial role in delivering culturally responsive patient care. This position involves medical assisting, lab work, and administrative support, helping ensure every patient receives quality, respectful care in a welcoming environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patient Care and Support
Provide empathetic, culturally competent patient support while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals to optimize patient experience.
Record vital signs and document medical history with sensitivity to health disparities.
Laboratory and Specimen Management
Perform venipuncture and lab testing with a commitment to patient safety and dignity.
Ensure lab records and samples are handled with care and precision.
Administrative and Advocacy Duties
Schedule appointments and provide language-accessible triage services.
Support patient navigation, ensuring equitable access to care.
Engage in community-centered outreach and health education efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
✅ High School Diploma/GED required; Medical Assistant Certificate preferred.
✅ Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply (Mandarin, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Vietnamese, or Portuguese).
