We are currently hiring a Head Waiter for Domes of Elounda, an ultimate luxury 5* resort, located in the area of Crete, to join our MAKRIS Restaurant team, for the 2026 season.

Head Waiter/Waitress

The Role:

At Domes Resorts the Head Waiter provides excellent customer service and ensures an enjoyable dining and drinking experience for the Domes’ guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and attending to guests' needs throughout their meal.

Some of the responsibilities:

  • Serving drinks, delicacies, and dishes while following the Group’s operational standards
  • Very good knowledge of the menu, with the ultimate goal of providing the best possible customer service
  • Direct communication with the Restaurant Manager for the organization of their station
  • Communication with the rest of the team to ensure supervision of the area
  • Welcoming and greeting customers in a polite manner
  • Providing information about the menu, making suggestions, and pairing dishes with drinks in a friendly and discreet way, without imposing personal opinions
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure prompt customer service

Requirements

Useful to have:

  • High School degree or vocational training in a similar field is preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role in a luxury hospitality environment will be an asset
  • Good knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Conversational English level and familiarity with POS system

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to build relationships, internally and externally, withing their department and between their department and the rest of the hotel
  • Proactive way of managing and organizing with an eye to detail
  • Communication and interpersonal skills for better service
