Head of Technical Operations Management (Semiconductor Solutions)

Continental Automotive is entering into 'Fabless Semiconductor Solutions'. The target is to build up a robust supply base with Zero Defect Quality Culture and streamlined value chain with new responsibilities and interface definitions for suppliers. The best-fit supplier strategy will be applied to achieve best market conditions for our company.

 The Head of Technical Operations Management is the disciplinary leader of the departments being responsible for Yield Monitoring and Mitigation, Defect Identification, Data Analysis and Test Environments. The major part (~ 60% as orientation value) of his/her daily business are typical leadership tasks, such as

  • Establishing clear objectives and guidelines for the team
  • Developing strategies to achieve the goals and setting action plans
  • Creating an inspiring and positive work environment to motivate and engage employees
  • Making informed decisions based on information and analysis
  • Monitoring the progress, performance, and results of the team
  • Promoting the professional development and growth of employees through feedback, training, and mentoring. To be able to fulfill the role efficiently, the leader also needs a certain level of functional knowledge relevant for his/her area of responsibility.

In particular:

  • Responsible to Monitor yield rates of semiconductor chip production and define, monitor and escalate action plans in case of deviations 
  • Responsible to define, provide and maintain Test Environments for Engineering Testing and Quality-related Problem-testing and responsibility for execution of these testings
  • Responsible to define, monitor and execute production infrastructure including data exchange
  • Responsible to set-up data analysis pipeline and tooling of production deviation
  • Responsible to evaluate and release in case of production deviations

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering, mathematics, natural science or similar
  • 5+ years in Automotive Position in various Functions, especially R&D, Quality or Project Management
  • Execution and Release of complex mechatronic Systems from Innovation Projects to Series Projects (Preferably with experience in Product Engineering with good knowledge in foundry and OSAT management)
  • 5+ years of technical, disciplinary and project Leadership in complex international teams
  • Experience in working technical English (written & spoken) expected
  • 5+ years of Intercultural Experience in working with international teams and understanding for foreign cultures required
