Head of / Team Lead Accounting (m/f/x)

TLDR

Lead the Accounting function of a rapidly growing Fintech startup, focusing on efficiency and quality in financial processes while coordinating cross-functional projects.

Lead and scale Scalable Capital’s Accounting function, covering German GAAP (HGB/RechKredV) and IFRS requirements
Design, standardize, and automate accounting processes across existing and new workstreams to improve efficiency, quality, and control
Own and drive cross-functional accounting projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., auditors, tax advisors), and continuously improve the accounting process landscape
Take end-to-end responsibility for the monthly and annual close, including monthly tax reporting and support for related reporting requirements
Contribute to the design of booking logic and posting patterns within our in-house core banking system, ensuring accurate and scalable accounting treatment

Extensive experience in financial accounting under German GAAP (HGB) and in handling tax-related matters
Proven hands-on experience in preparing (consolidated) annual financial statements and managing the external audit process
Solid knowledge of tax-relevant accounting topics, e.g., VAT and related reporting requirements.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a structured, precise working style and strong problem-solving skills
Business-fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
