About the Role
As the Head of Talent Acquisition, you will own the entire hiring strategy and execution at a fast-growing, high-performance organization. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines employer branding, pipeline development, and operational excellence. You will work closely with executive leadership to shape our hiring philosophy, scale recruiting processes, and build a world-class team that supports our ambitious growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
Develop and continuously refine the company-wide talent acquisition strategy aligned with business goals
Monitor market trends and talent intelligence to ensure proactive talent acquisition planning
2.Execution & Process Optimization
Manage and optimize the end-to-end hiring process, from sourcing to onboarding
Implement and own recruiting metrics (e.g., TTF, Cost per Hire, Source of Hire, Offer Acceptance Rate)
Ensure hiring velocity and quality of hire are maintained across all functions
3. Team Management & Development
Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing TA team (internal recruiters and/or agencies)
Establish and track team KPIs and OKRs
Create playbooks, workflows, and scalable systems for efficient hiring
4. Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
Lead employer branding efforts through storytelling, media, and PR campaigns
Design and execute a candidate experience strategy that reflects company values
Represent the company externally at events, conferences, and networks
5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Influence
Partner with CxOs, EVPs, and Heads to define hiring needs and drive decisions
Act as a thought leader in the organization regarding hiring best practices
Communicate data-driven insights to influence hiring prioritization and budget allocation
Requirements
8+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Proven experience building and scaling hiring operations in a high-growth environment (startup or tech preferred)
Strong analytical mindset with a track record of improving hiring metrics
Deep understanding of employer branding, sourcing strategies, and funnel optimization
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Native level Japanese and Business-level English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in IPO-preparation phase or rapid global expansion
Familiarity with ATS, CRM, and hiring analytics platforms
Exposure to technical and non-technical hiring across multiple markets
Employment Terms
Contract Term: No fixed term
Probation Period: 3 months (may be extended up to 6 months)
Work Location: Headquarters office – Heiwajima, Ota-ku, Tokyo
(May be subject to change to another location designated by the company)
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (8 working hours/day with a 1-hour break)
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays (including year-end and New Year holidays)
Salary: Annual salary system
Social Insurance: Full coverage under the Japanese social insurance system
