Are you a seasoned Senior Developer with strong leadership experience, ready to step into your first Senior Management role? We’re looking for a delivery-focused leader to join CBS as Head of Software Delivery — someone who can lead agile teams with clarity and purpose, and who thrives on turning complexity into structure and results. 

In this role, you’ll take the reins of our software delivery function at a pivotal moment – taking our products from a managed package solution, to scalable cloud-first delivery. 

In this role, you’ll lead a team of 12 (both NZ and remote) and be central to the execution of the product roadmap. You will lead by example in instilling best practices, evolve the SDLC process to help us scale, bring structure and process to the team, and use your coaching skills to help developers grow and thrive. This role is ideal for someone experienced in Scaled Agile (SAFe), Scrum, SaaS, and cloud-native transformation.  

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of our SaaS platform roadmap using Scaled Agile and Scrum methodologies 
  • Working closely with the Solutions Architect, Product, QA and Customer Support to align priorities and deliver product excellence 
  • Introduce and scale delivery practices fit for a modern cloud-native SaaS environment 
  • Report on key metrics to internal and external stakeholders with transparency and confidence 

We’re looking for a candidate with:

  • A proven track record as a Senior Developer, particularly in C# and T-SQL languages 
  • Strong technical understanding of cloud platforms (we use Azure but knowledge of any of the main cloud platforms is great) 
  • Significant experience leading software delivery in a SaaS and/or cloud transformation context 
  • Expertise in Scaled Agile (SAFe), Scrum, and agile planning at scale 
  • Background managing remote and globally distributed development teams of similar size to ours (12 staff) 
  • Ideally competent in C# and T-SQL languages 
  • Track record of improving delivery predictability, quality, and collaboration 
  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder and team leadership skills
