The Role

As Head of Sales, you will work closely with the Sales Director to:

  • Oversee the performance of the sales and customer success teams, ensuring they meet and exceed objectives.
  • Implement and refine sales processes to improve team efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth across multiple product categories, with a focus on high-volume consumables.
  • Track sales performance, set individual KPIs, and identify training opportunities to enhance team success.
  • Engage directly with key stakeholders across Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), including senior-level decision-makers, to articulate the company’s value proposition and develop the brand within the MAT market.
  • Manage a personal portfolio of clients and prospects, identifying and closing new business opportunities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced sales environment, with a passion for developing and motivating a sales team.
  • A strong personal sales history, with the ability to win new business and build relationships at senior stakeholder levels.
  • Strategic thinking skills to align sales initiatives with business objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with frameworks, tenders, and contracts.
  • An organised and structured work approach, with a strong focus on achieving results.
  • The ability to travel as needed for client meetings.
