Overview of Position

Our Head of Sales will focus on business acceleration, sales excellence, and strategic partnerships. Together with other executive leadership team members (ELT), the Head of Sales will execute the company's strategic growth plan. We have a global footprint with sales models through partners, direct to enterprises, and to individuals.  

The Head of Sales will demonstrate a strong sales execution focus as well as a track record of building lasting relationships with customers.  Candidates should have demonstrable experience thriving in highly collaborative and transparent ways of working, as well as bringing a customer-centric lens. The ability to proactively seek input and feedback from customers, the leadership team, their team, and the organization will be a critical success factor.  

Responsibilities

Member of Executive Leadership Team (ELT)

  • Partner with other members of the ELT team to execute the corporate strategic plan=
  • Mature Scaled Agile’s go-to-market approach to meet customer business objectives and align internal teams at Scaled Agile to new potential approaches
  • Improve the performance, strategy, and alignment of the organization’s revenue-generating teams

Global Sales Leader

  • Build, grow, and coach global sales and customer success teams to drive consistent revenue across every segment, working with marketing and product to strengthen execution and customer outcomes.
  • Develop and manage a global Major Account development and account management process that builds account loyalty, growth, and retention
  • Grow and expand the recurring revenue base of the company
  • Drive rapid adoption and expansion of our AI-Native enterprise offerings.
  • Work with your RevOps team to manage pipeline performance, lead flow, and revenue predictability.
  • Participate in the most significant and most strategic enterprise contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with finance, product management, and marketing on messaging, pricing, and packaging strategies, and business models to achieve revenue goals
  • Develop key partner relationships and develop their capabilities to deliver the "whole solution" to customers
  • Recruit and engage new global and regional strategic partnerships to add value to customers and accelerate growth
  • Stay well-connected with customers to ensure broad market needs are incorporated into the product development and maintenance cycles
  • Engage with markets to position the power of Scaled Agile’s global presence through speaking opportunities and customer executive engagement 

Leading by Example

  • Build and develop teams that embody our culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and resolve challenges and impediments across the sales, marketing, product and service teams
  • Ensure Sales Enablement and Professional Development programs are implemented worldwide to Scaled Agile Employees and Partners, driving revenue for Scaled Agile
  • Proven track record of growing revenue through partnering with product management, marketing, customer success, and partnerships
  • Proven experience developing and executing business strategy
  • Significant general management and P&L experience
  • Ability to craft and execute a business strategy
  • History of decision-making based on business metrics
  • Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach
  • Strong technical experience with Salesforce and other commercial tools

Compensation: Scaled Agile is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The starting base salary range for this role is $243,000–$285,000, plus bonus and equity. Compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including a candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and certifications.

Employees of Scaled Agile are also compensated with a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as optional insurance products such as pet insurance. The package also features a 401 (k) with a match, flexible paid time off, and a company-paid sabbatical after six years of service.
